From the President
A good start for 2025
Enrolment Day on the 13th was busy, with about 100 members coming into the Office to join, pay, enrol or get information. The work done by our volunteers was enormous, carried out with efficiency, courtesy and cheerfulness.
The bulk of transactions was through the website and Member Wizard.

Information About Member Wizard
There has been a bit of confusion among some members about Member Wizard and the difference between UMAS (our previous membership system) and Member Wizard.
The main difference is that in UMAS you had to login to do anything.
With Member Wizard, you have the added option of viewing and enrolling in classes from the Classes menu on our website. You do not have to login to your Member Portal to do this. So if you are having problems with accessing your Member Portal, you can enrol immediately and we can deal with your Member Portal later.

Your Member Portal
As advised on our website and in several newsletters sent to members, all 2024 current member records were transferred to Member Wizard. However, we were unable to transfer member numbers or passwords. Please do not attempt to use your UMAS member number or password to login to your Member Portal.
All members must register for their Member Portal because that is the way to manage your membership in Member Wizard. You can do such things as change your password, update your personal details, see what classes you are enrolled in or on the waiting list for, pay any outstanding amounts, including your membership renewal or view your member statement.
Viewing and Enrolling in Classes
You can check out our 2025 class offerings from our website. Google U3A Adelaide or enter the address https://adelaideu3a.org.au in the address bar of your web browser.
Click the Classes menu. Instructions on how to enrol are on the How to Enrol page.
Click View Classes. Class details are revealed when you click or tap on a class. Repeat to close that class.
- If there are places available, an enrol button will be shown.
- If the class is full, you can join the Waiting List.
Follow the instructions. To complete your enrolment.
Join us at U3A Adelaide
If you are interested in joining U3A Adelaide click on the Membership menu and have a look at our About Membership page, which among other information, has details of our Membership Fees.
You can check out our list of Classes before becoming a member. Click Classes on the menu bar at the top, then click View Classes.
To join Adelaide U3A go to the Membership in the menu and click Join as New Member.
The University of the Third Age
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is an international volunteer organisation providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities for people over 50 who are no longer in full-time employment. U3A Adelaide, located at the Box Factory, 59 Regent Street South, Adelaide, is one of some 21 independent U3A locations in South Australia. Each U3A has its own classes. Adelaide U3A is run entirely by volunteers, utilising the knowledge, experience and skills of its members. We make new friends, learn from each other and share experiences in a relaxed, social environment.
With about 800 members and 100 classes, you can choose from a wide range of classes and social activities, including languages, literature, music, philosophy, art, exercise and excursions.
