About Membership

You can join Adelaide U3A through our member­ship admin­is­tra­tion system (UMAS for Members). It is used for all member­ship require­ments, such as joining or renewing member­ships, updating personal details, enrolling in courses and viewing and down­loading enrolment details and invoices. It works on smart­phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs.

You don’t have to join U3A to see what Courses we offer, but you must be a financial member to enrol in courses, which you can do throughout the year.

User Guide

We have a User Guide to our member­ship admin­is­tra­tion system which will help with the following.

  • How to view courses
  • How to log in – as an existing/renewing member OR join as a new member
  • How to enrol in a course/s
  • How to pay an invoice imme­di­ately after enrolling in a course/s
  • How to pay an invoice at any time
  • What am I enrolled in?
  • How can I change my password?
  • How can I see and/or change my details?
  • How do I cancel my enrolment in a course?
  • How do I report my absence from a course?

If you cannot join online, please contact or visit the U3A Adelaide Office.
When you have paid your member­ship fees your member­ship is active and you can attend as many classes as you wish during the year, subject to avail­ab­ility. Additional charges for excur­sions and some materials may apply.

Membership Fees

When you join Adelaide U3A you are auto­mat­ic­ally given the status of Full Member. If you want to change to another member­ship type you will need to contact the office or sysadmin@adelaideu3a.org.au. For example, if you are a member at another U3A you can have your status changed to that of Associate Member.

We accept Payments:

  • Online by EFT (with receipt) or PayPal (PayPal account or credit card)
  • By credit card, cheque or cash at the Office

Code of Conduct

U3A Adelaide expects that all members, tutors and other volun­teers will behave in a
courteous and civilised manner in all dealings relevant to U3A Adelaide. When joining U3A Adelaide, you must therefore agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.


U3A is run by an elected manage­ment board of members. Everyone is encour­aged to
contribute volun­tarily to its running to ensure it is an active and vibrant organ­isa­tion. If you enjoy being part of the U3A community and would like to give something back to the organ­isa­tion, please consider becoming a volunteer or tutor
